Probably your data steward has already created a project folder for you. This project folder is your collaborative project environment. If you are involved in more than one research projects, there might be more project folders in your Research Drive. You can move or copy files and folders from any location to another location.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Login into Research Drive
  2. Copy a file or folder
  3. Move a file or folder
  4. Copy or move multiple files or folders


Example Copy a file or folder

1. To copy a file or folder, select the three-dots icon next to the item to be copied:

2. Select 'Copy' in the dropdown menu:

3. Navigate to the new location

4. Click on the paste icon in the top of the listing:

Your folder or file has now been copied after the process has completed.

Example Move a file or folder

1. To copy a file or folder, select the three-dots icon next to the item to be copied:

2. Select 'Cut' in the dropdown menu:

Your item will now have changed color slightly:

3. Navigate to the new location

4. Click on the paste icon in the top of the listing:

Your folder or file has now been moved after the process has completed.


Example Copy or move multiple files or folders

1. Select all items you want to copy or move by clicking on the checkboxes of every item:

2. Click on the three-dots icon next to on of the items to be processed:

2. Select 'Cut' or 'Copy' in the dropdown menu:

3. Navigate to the new location

4. Click on the paste icon in the top of the listing:

Your folder or file has now been copied or moved after the process has completed.
