SURFconext Connect environment: end of life

On 1 November, we will shut down the SURFconext Connect environment. As of that date, the SP-form will no longer be available either. After 1 November, the test environment will be the only location where you can test new SP’s and IdP’s, with the SP-dashboard as a self-service interface.

In our attempt to simplify the technical connection process, we’re rethinking the amount of environments, and the names they are given. Names like ‘connect’, and ‘staging’ create ambiguity and generate a lot of support tickets.

Everybody who has registered an IdP or SP at the Connect environment will receive a message in the coming weeks.

Let us know if you have any questions, or if you want to migrate to the test environment already.

SURFconext webinars

On 25 September, a new SURFconext webinar will take place. It is called 'Een veilige IdP, een veilig idee’ (A safe IdP is a confortable idea). During this webinar (in Dutch) you will learn more about how to make an IdP safe, and by doing so, make the whole SURFconext federation safer. Although this webinar is tailored to identity providers, service providers are very welcome!
