Reconnect Mac OS

  1. When the accounts are migrated, the old accounts are disabled. The synchronisation is stopped in the desktop client. 


  2. Remove the existing synchronisation:
    Click on ‘Account’ and ‘Remove’ 



  3. Confirm the removal, the files will be retained on the local drive. 


  4. Click on  ‘add account’ 
  5. Log in using SURFconext and select your new IDP (example: ‘SURF (Nieuw)’)
    Click on 'Authorize',so the Desktop Client can reconnect:

      
    By default, SURFdrive wil create a new synchronisation folder. In order to use the existing folder, click on the button next to "Local Folder” / “Lokale map”.

    Select the earlier documented SURFdrive folder.By default this is /Users/<user>/Surfdrive

    Select “Keep local data” / “Bewaar lokale gegevens”.

  6.  After authorizing your new SURFDrive account the client will say you’re all set. Before clicking finish select Advanced Settings. 


  7. Here you must select your previous sync folder as your local download folder.

  8. Your data should now synchronize


  9. Optional step. When you do not want to synchronise everything: click on “Choose what to sync” / “Selectieve synchronisatie” and deselect everything which does not need to be synchronised and click on OK

    Click on “Connect / Verbinden” to perform the synchronisation.
